After Bangkok Southern Thailand is slowly
becoming a major destination for
cosmetic surgery, eyelid surgery,
breast enlargement, cosmetic laser surgery, cosmetic surgery, facial
cosmetic surgery, male cosmetic surgery abdominoplastic,
rhinoplasty
or nose job,
liposuction,
sex reassignment, face lift,
nose correction and health care tourism.
Prices are low, the hospitals / laboratory
good equipped and doctors plus nurses
doing a good job, especially on this kind
of examinations
since the data are coming from the analyze
instruments and the health care / laboratory
/ hospital data interpretation is relatively
easy. The major work is depending to the
technical - manual skill of the doctor.
If you are interested in no surgical
approach to anti-aging have a look here.
Very popular are all medical activities to
make you look better and pop up your beauty, that means plastic surgery,
cosmetic surgery (a real big business in Thailand and amazing
affordably, usually you pay only a fraction of the price they ask in
Europe, USA or similar countries). |

Even on simple
plastic surgery in Thailand
like nose correction
or nose job , cosmetic laser
surgery, cosmetic surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, male cosmetic
surgery, eye lid correction (also because
of age) face lift etc. the prices are quite low in Thailand, usually you can pay the
whole plastic surgery, cosmetic laser surgery, cosmetic surgery, facial
cosmetic surgery, male cosmetic surgery, cosmetic surgery procedure and make 2 weeks holiday afterwards and
all together is still cheaper than the medical procedure alone in Europe
etc.
For the very cost conscious on plastic
surgery, cosmetic surgery they can even go to clinics like one in Surat Thani
Thailand and get a good nose correction for about baht 5000,- . But as
usual those low cost ones have some strings attached. In this last
mentioned case after the cosmetic surgery, cosmetic surgery operation the
doctor will give you some antibiotics, pain reliever and a pack of ice
and off you go, you can sit down outside for a while, but it works, they
do it a dozen of time everyday. Similar is breast enlargement (more
expensive) and other.
Phuket Thailand is also a somehow famous destination
for transsexual plastic surgery - they call it sew reassignment - (what
a word). People come from all over the globe to
have it done.
It's worth to give a thought to plastic
surgery, cosmetic surgery, eyelid surgery, breast enlargement, abdominoplastic,
liposuction,
rhinoplastic
or nose job, sex reassignment, face lift,
nose correction, Thailand ,
cosmetic laser surgery,
cosmetic surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, male cosmetic surgery.

Cosmetic Surgery Abroad
- Making the Right Choice by Mansi gupta
The past few years have
seen a dramatic change in the public perception of
cosmetic surgery in Britain, leading to a sixty five
per cent increase in demand in 2004 alone. In fact,
so popular has cosmetic surgery become that it is
hard to turn on the television or open a magazine
without encountering stories of lives transformed as
a result of work being done. Vastly improved
treatments and increased social acceptance has lead
to cosmetic surgery becoming a normalised practice,
as viable and realistic to the housewife as it is to
the Hollywood star. None of which is surprising,
considering the very real and immediate benefits
cosmetic surgery can bring to the patient's
appearance and self-esteem.
However, cosmetic surgery can still be beyond the
budget of many, which is why there is a growing
trend for people to travel to parts of the world
where the standard of expertise and post-operation
care is just as good as in the United Kingdom, but
up to sixty percent cheaper. Such savings are made
due to favorable exchange rates This is particularly
significant when you consider that medical health
insurance doesn't cover the cost of elective
cosmetic surgery. So now patients are choosing to
enjoy holidays to exotic destinations such as
Malaysia and Thailand in addition to improving their
appearance.
No country is more suited to this combination than
Brazil, land of sun and sea and the body beautiful,
and second only to the United States in terms of the
number of surgical operations performed every year.
The 3500 plus members of the Brazilian Society of
Plastic Surgery are renowned for their experience
and expertise, which makes sense when you consider
that 80% of all plastic surgery in the United
Kingdom is reconstructive, whereas 80% of all
plastic surgery in Brazil is cosmetic, and that
cosmetic surgery magazines clutter up the shelves in
newsagents the same way that computer and golf
magazines do here. The level of service in the
Brazilian private health sector is extremely high,
to mention all of those wonderful beaches you can
strut your stuff down after you've made a full
recovery!
Of course, another benefit of having cosmetic
surgery abroad is that it guarantees total privacy,
so that you won't need to worry about friends,
neighbours and work colleagues seeing you in the
immediate aftermath of the operation. You can
recover in a relaxed environment, choose who you
want to see and have all manner of complementary
therapies and additional work done while you're at
it. In order to make the most of your stay in the
country and feel confident you've hired a surgeon
with the sufficient level of expertise to carry out
the work, it is advisable to engage the services of
a cosmetic surgery company who regularly deals with
sending clients from the United Kingdom to Brazil,
or your country of choice. This will also insure
that you are given the appropriate level of
follow-up care, including careful monitoring in the
days immediately following surgery. Not only will
this give you piece of mind, but it will save you
money as the company uses contacts that have been
built up in the country over a number of years.
Regardless of this, it is worth understanding that
all types of surgery carry a degree of risk and that
surgical results differ from person to person and
depend on many factors, including the patient's age,
medical history and health, and that results may be
slightly different from those that you were
expecting. As such, it is a good indication of the
responsibility and professionalism of the surgeon
that such things are discussed in detail before any
operation takes place and you are aware of any
complications or side effects that may occur, no
matter how rare. Also, that the surgeon is available
to discuss and treat side effects or complications
as and when they arise. If such things are not
immediately offered it is advisable to consider this
a warning sign and start looking for a different
surgeon. After all, you can take as long as you want
selecting a surgeon you feel comfortable with, but
you will be living with the results for the rest of
your life.

Medical Tourism
By Sarah Freeland
International
professional organizations, non-governmental
organizations, and other international institutions
work to make sure that medical training, medical
practices, and medical equipment are standardized
around the globe. Diagnostic terminology is set;
medications from prescription drugs to anesthesia
are globally-available.
Medical tourism takes
advantage of this standardization of medical
procedures.
Doctors overseas—many of
whom have trained in the US or Canada, or be members
of international professional association—assure
their patients that they’ll enjoy the same quality
of care as they would at home, if not better.
Thailand is perhaps the best-established
destination for medical tourism, and much of
that is due to Thai doctors’ and hospital
administrators’ global knowledge. Thai facilities’
characteristically high level of health routinism
means that patients enjoy medical care and hospital
experiences that are higher than, or at least
comparable to, standards in their home countries.
Not only do many Thai physicians hold US
professional certification; a number of Thai
hospitals maintain cooperative relationships with
facilities in the US as well. Many travel to
hospitals in Thailand for plastic surgery or other
forms of cosmetic surgery from North America,
Europe, and Japan.
India is developing a competitive market in
health tourism, and may industry observers
credit the expansion of India’s health tourism
industry to the profession’s global scope. Leading
facilities in India are designed to the same
specifications and equipped like research hospitals
anywhere else in the globe. India is not alone in
transferring the globalization of medicine to the
tourist industry’s benefit. So, too, do medical
facilities in Singapore and the Philippines offer
patients world-class medical and dental procedures.
|
|
Just as health routinism is by no means
restricted to Thailand, medical tourism’s recent
growth is by no means restricted to Asia. Each year,
more and more travelers book tickets to Eastern
Europe or south in the Americas for dental
treatments, to South Africa for aesthetic surgery,
or to Canada for laser treatments.
