Thailand has
plenty of tropical vacation hotspots
one of them
is the Tarutao Archipelago off the south west coast in Satun province.
The place is accessible by air via Hat Yai or by bus also from Hat Yai,
Phuket, Trang and practically from anywhere in the country. There are
around 50 islands, the main islands, where it is possible to stay is Ko
Tarutao with the National Park HQ and Ko Lipe, both islands have plenty
of beach bungalows on different locations. Malaysia’s Langkawi Island
can be seen from there on a clear day. The ferry leaves from Satun’s Pak
Bara , where the pier is, from there also ships to Malaysia are
available but not on a regular base.
This are
beautiful islands with light yellow sandy beaches and not much to do, a
real get away destination.
|
Koh Lipe is the most
popular
other are Ko Adang, Ko Rawi,
Ko Tarutao and many more. Ko
Lipe and Ko Tarutao have plenty accommodation right on the beach, scuba diving and
snorkeling are the main attraction plus maybe a day trip to one of the
other islands. This is a small island with calm waters around and rich
marine life, Koh Lipe is an ideal destination for snorkeling. |

|
year around, there is rain during Monsoon
time around July to October,
but since it’s always rather
hot, above 25 Centigrade,
this is an all year round
vacation destination. Even
when raining from time to
time the sun comes out every
day long enough to feel
good. |
